Phosphating Chemicals
Phosphating prepares the surface for painting or extrusion by providing uniform phosphate layer on substrate by conversion process. The phosphated surface will have good corrosion resistance properties and can be used as a base for paint.
AQUAPHOS
| Product Brief | Phosphating Solution |
| Description |
AQUAPHOS is a versatile single stage pre-treatment solution for metals such as iron and steel, aluminum and galvanized metal.
The use of AQUAPHOS treatment renders the metal free of grease, oil, rust and deposits a thin protective film which provides a base to the paint. The treatment provides better under-film corrosion resistance and gives a durable paint life. |
| Application |
Chemical treatment with AQUAPHOS is superior to 'Sand Papering' and mineral spirit wiping because of the following:

Kem Kote® 210 A
| Product Brief | Phosphating Solution |
| Description |
|
| Application | The surface, after phosphatizing, forms an excellent base for paint and organic finishes and provides underfilm protection against corrosion. The Kem Kote 210 A treatment is ideal for single coat paints as it retains the original gloss of the paint film. For single coat application, operation of the bath on nitrite side is suggested. The coatings meet the Indian Standards Specifications IS-3618-1966. |
Kem Kote ® 312
| Product Brief | Cold Zinc Phosphating Compound |
| Description |
KEM KOTE 312 is a chemical soln. for production of a zinc phosphate conversion coating on iron and steel surfaces at ambient temperature. The solution is adapted for cold, multistage immersion processes. A fine grained coating of about 150 - 250 mg/sq. ft. is produced in about 4 - 7 minutes when preceded by titanated activation stage. |
| Application | This is an excellent base for paint and powder coat finishes and provides underfilm protection against corrosion. The coating meets the Indian Standard Specification IS: 3618 - 1966 Class C. |
Duridine ® 3965
| Product Brief | Combined degreasing and iron phosphating agent |
| Description |
Duridine 3965 is a liquid product based on acidic phosphates and a combination of very efficient surfactants. The product is especially suitable when the parts to be treated contain a high amount of aluminum or galvanized steel
Duridine 3965 degreases and cleans steel, galvanized steel and aluminum. On cold rolled steel and iron it simultaneously generates a uniform iron phosphate layer with a coating weight of about 0.2 - 0.4 g/m2. The iron phosphate layer provides an excellent adhesion for organic coatings and improves the corrosion resistance. Also on zinc and aluminum surfaces the adhesion of organic coatings is improved by the use of Duridine 3965. |
| Application | Duridine 3965 is used in spray applications; it is sprayable from 40 oC upwards without formation of disturbing foam. |
Kem Galvagrip
| Description | KEM GALVA GRIP" is specially formulated product for treatment of hot dipped or electro plated zinc surface. This treatment produces a smooth, uniform fine micro crystalline zinc phosphate coating. The coating derived from KEM GALVA GRIP is an excellent base for liquid paint and organic finishes. Treated surfaces also prevent the spread of "White corrosion". |
| Application | KEM GALVA GRIP is applied by two methods: (i) Wiping Application (ii) Immersion Application |
Thermoil Granodine®112
| Product Brief | Acidic Phosphating Agent for Manganese Phosphate Coatings in Immersion Processes |
| Description | Thermoil Granodine 112 is a nitrate-accelerated phosphating process which is used to produce dark-grey to black manganese phosphate coatings on iron and steel. |
| Application | If used in combination with anticorrosive oils (slushing oils) or waxes, the decorative phosphate coatings offer an excellent corrosion protection. |
