Applications across the value chain
- Data tape lamination
- Overlay film lamination
- Contact-less card lamination
Data tape lamination
Our polyamide hotmelts are suited for the heatseal-coating of magnetic transfer tapes. The products are diluted in IPA and coated on the backside of the transfer tape (4µm solid coating). In general a good adhesion to PVC is given. Typical application areas are include flight tickets, bank account books and bank cards.
Overlay film lamination
For the backside coating of overlay films our product range offers polyamide hotmelts with good adhesion to PVC and PET and the ink printing on the card. Our hotmelts can be diluted in an isopropanol / hexane solution with silica gel as an anti-blocking agent.
Contact-less card lamination

Hotmelt Tapes
In some cases, it is complicated to apply hotmelt for bonding with application machines such as gear pump devices, spraying applicators or roller coaters. For these cases we offer tailor-made tapes of
- Polyurethane (PUR) hotmelts
- Polyamide (PA) hotmelts
- Ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) hotmelts
Why use PUR hotmelt tapes?
- The tape is tailor-made
- No pre-coating of substrates necessary
- The lamination process is quick (<1min.)
- No vulcanization necessary
- The lamination temperatures are low (>=70°C)
- The end product is highly resistant
